Notes | Immigrated on Golconda to Botany Bay in August of 1858, somehow migrated to Victoria by 1862. Drawn to the area because siblings already resident in the area (Woodstock). Charles operated Payne's Punt on the Goulburn River, Alexandra, Victoria and disappeared from it leaving his walking stick and hat in the vessel. Local authorities dredged the river and recovered his body. An inquested was held and a verdict of Accidental Drowning was returned. From various documents including Victorian Inquest Records.
